Developing ability to identify candidates for leveraged finance and understanding of funding strategies and transaction structures.

By the end of this workshop participants will be equipped to:

  • Recognize suitable candidates for leveraged lending and appreciate the benefits and risks of leverage from all of the stakeholders’ perspectives
  • Understand the motivations of the parties – vendors, management, shareholders, sponsors, senior and subordinated lenders – and the impact these have on transaction structures
  • Devise and / or evaluate financing solutions from across the bank’s product offering that meet the customer’s needs while taking into consideration management/shareholder risk parameters and current market conditions.
  • Effectively monitor transactions to recognise any early sign of credit migration or deviation for the business plan,
